Freetalk 16: Ultraman, uncut version
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Ultraman? No, it's just Khairy Jamaluddin trying to be a young Anwar... or is it a young Dr. M he's trying to emulate? Or maybe a little bit of both.

I thought the government wanted to do away with race based activities in order to promote racial integrtion several months back. they can start with race based political parties first.
I am unsure if Malaysia is divided by race or language.
a person like Khairil speaks malay to the kampung masses in a different manner than the speaches he makes in english.
English speaking Malaysian are the most integrated. malays and Chinese speaking ones stick to their own kind.
Hishamuddin is wrong on people who questioned ketuanan melayu. It is through debate that we progress.

Sometimes I pity AAB for having KJ as a SIL.
But then again, if you believe in Yin & Yang, this is the perfect balance to show that everytime AAB tries to make a right, our young future PM of Malaysia wannabe makes a deep LEFT.
Sorry KJ. I stopped believing in Ultraman since I was around 8 years old. But thank you for your great antics and comedy! Now, we truly have a permanent presence of the Royal London Circus in town.

Dear Jigsawpuzzle,
Why the pity? After so many re-runs, the story line is adaptly viewed as a 'bad cop good cop' routine; to confuse the audience. Better switch channel. Ultraman will be nice. Do you know there are good and bad ultramen in the new series? Those days, there was only one ultraman...the hero. Life as an audience is getting sophisticated.

If Pak Lah want to be PM for all Malaysians and not for Malay or UMNO, he should "cakap serupa bikin" and publicly reprimand his SIL and UMNO Youth Deputy for making such racist remark.
Race issues are deleicate issues and should not be used as bogeyman to unite the UMNO Malays and lose the credibility among the rest of Malaysians.

There is an interesting commentary in today's Spore Business Times. Written by Pauline Ng, the paper's KL correspondent, it is titled "The Malay(sian) Dilemma".
Her concluding paragraph:
"Even as Malaysia turns 49 this Thursday, chauvinistic politicians are still harping on about the importance of Malay unity. It's a pity the bigger picture eludes them. For in reality, it is disunity among Malaysians that is the greater cause for concern. A united Malaysia with Malaysians all pulling in the same direction could deliver so much - and achieve so much more of its latent potential".
Expect foreign investors and fund managers to read this with raised eyebrows.
Would KJ and Hishamuddin care to explain why is it that Singapore pulled in US$20 billion out of the total US$38 billion FDI into Asean last year (according to a PriceWaterhouseCoopers study)and why Malaysia only managed to get US$5 billion in FDI for the same period?
See, this is the type of hard statistics that does not make it to the pages of the major newspapers in Malaysia.

We only receive RM5 billion out of the total RM38 billion in FDI? No prizes for guessing why!
When you have a Trade Minister who says you can only come in if you satisfy our requirements, blah, blah, blah,.... If you don't like it you can leave....
Rafidah should be the one to do the explaining, right? But then, don't expect AAB to be able to pull her down from her high-and-mighty pedestal. She IS untouchable!

she is not untouchable..just that AAB is afraid of her hug..
that could be a reason???

Why does AAB always doesnt seem to know whats going on????
He claims that he doesnt know what KJ actually said!
This is the same finance minister who did not know anything about the merger.
Thank you Bapa Tak Tau!

It is a pity indeed, just when we have an Oxford who can line up against our southern neighbor’s massive credential and be a leader for all however this potential-leader-for-all has went south too. Now the search for the next leader for all with credential is ON.
By the way, is he an undergrad or post-grad because our friends in Sgp are mostly Master’s level?

Folks
Hishamuddin, the UMNO Youth Leader should get his priorities right and his head properly screwed on his shoulders.
He is the Minister of Education, who should be setting a good example to school children starting from primary to secondary school. Instead he is becoming an example where you tell your kids "Don'T Follow".
Why? Why your deputy, in UMNO Youth makes a "kurang ajar" statement that is unacceptable to the Chinese community, you should be upset with your deputy, not the people your deputy has been aggrieved.
I don't remember graduates from a University of Dublin are taught to be angry with the victims of abuse, instead of the aggressor. Where the hell did he learn that logic, coming from a Cabinet Minister in charge of the education of children.
God help our future generation with this kind of leadership attribute in our beloved country.

Having made the statement himself, he now claims that he has been misquoted. Tell us the misquote and what he actually uttered at that meeting. perhaps playing to the gallery... Malaysia, after 49 years of Merdeka, is still talking about race and religion, thanks to people like KJ whose despite his eduaction in England, still cling on to this particular kind of mindset. This young man is in a hurry to reach the top echelon of power. He thinks by uttering such discrimianting statement, he will be ampily rewarded by self glorification as a defender of the faith and race. This kind of political ploy is still being bnadied around and the trouble is that because of the racial schism in the present context of the Malaysian society, it still has a market! We must not forget that in today's world where globalization this product will not be able to compete. Go on on this tune, you see how far you can go! Yous will be left behind whilst others progress. The trouble is that after 49 years of independence, this minset has not changed and we are back to where we began in the 1940s after the WWII and 1950s tryinf to put together a team to seek independence and demonstrate that we are capable of governing ourselves. This has become delusion and day in and day out, the cohesiveness of the country is being chisled instead of cementing together. When can this be stopped!

haha jigsawpuzzle, good one. we already have bapa kemerdekaan, bapa pembangunan and so on, so yes perhaps pak lah should be bapa tak tahu. now that you brought it up, yes i remember in a few other instances, pak lah did said he didn't know what was going on.
pak lah is also a coward in not wanting to have anything to do with the ultrakhairy's statement when he said ultrakhairy himself should explain his statement.
the picture of ultrakhairy here tickled me so much. jeff, where did you get it? who was the one who so cleverly photo-shopped it? i would like to borrow this picture to put in my blog and thus have a good laugh everyday at this young UMNO hero.

"i would like to borrow this picture to put in my blog and thus have a good laugh everyday at this young UMNO hero."
"Clown" you mean?
We should remember this to vote for only politicians who never uses racial or religion remarks that are detrimental to the harmony of the people living in Malaysia. These politicians are but a carcinogic cyst to the country and if supported or even left unattended will surely kill the country. Let's all not just forget this when election comes. These are traitors of the first degree.

we malaysians are very forgiving and forgetful... KJ's remarks would be long forgotten by the time of general election. And the same clowns will continue with their comical/dumb acts...
