Screenshots out of Webvision

No f*@k to Webvision, that Singapore company. I have directed my webhost to move out of TM's Myloca (CBJ1) where Webvision squats. We are now hosted elsewhere within the MSC.

There might BE two hiccups.

BROWSER. Mozilla Firefox users may not have problems surfing Screenshots, I supposed. However, those using IE6.0 and older may have to delete their "Temporary Internet Files" and clear "History" if your browser can't present this website.

Tips: On IE, go to Tools >> Internet Options >> Delete Files (Temporary Internet Files) >> Clear History (History) >> OK.

ISP ACCESS. At the time I blogged this, almost all DNS, including those in Europe, US and Oceania, have populated Screenshots' new IP address. However, it's noted that those accessing Screenshots via TM Net or Streamyx may have problem as their networks are still not pointing to the new IP address some 12 hours after I have moved out from CBJ1. If you use TM's Internet access, you have to wait for the IP propagation to complete -- just like me!

If you have access problems, please email me.

One good thing out of all this... Screenshots now RIPS!! I got a bit of a shock when it just "leap out", b4 it take a few seconds even with cable modem! Viva Firefox too!!

did a trace and a ping using screamax. impressive at average=28ms...hope it stays that way...

Do express my unhappiness on screamax when you meetup with the Fella called ML.

i would guess you're hosted on top of the hill deeper inside cyberjaya now. good on you mate. myloca sucks!

a quick fix to getting dns updated on your machine is to click Start > Run, type out ipconfig /flushdns and click OK. Windows also caches DNS entries.

Hi Jeff,
Is your server hosted in TPM with Data One Asia Network. Is it expensive? (More than RM1.5k per month for 1Mbps dedicated) We are hosting our server in myLOCCa and plan to move to NTT MSC. We know it is good in TPM Bukit Jalil, but has never found anyone provide hosting service. We have asked TPM to host for us, but they only provide the service for tenant.

JEFF OOI says: I have servers both in DataOne and Jaring, hosted via a managed services company. Bounce me an email if you are looking for contact.

excellent choice jeff, i have boxen in Jaring too.

Good speed from Tokyo too... not bad, much better than before...

Oh yeah, if your site comes to a crawl next time, it's probably all the congestion at Paul's blog (maybe Proton or Perodua launching new model) LOL :)

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
