Pizza & Spaghetti Bolognese
Two dying minutes of madness that makes great soccer. Guess I'll order a Fabio Grosso pizza, and a Alessandro Del Piero spaghetti bolognese for a double knockout lunch.
Is soccer a game of jinx? Brazil died in the hands of French; England in Portugal's and Germany in Italy's...
My soft spot has always been for Michael Ballack. Heartache time. Better defence may be in the offensive.

Diego Maradona said it best: Did not understand how Argentina lost to Germany when they beat Ivory Coast!Germans were over rated and when they played Arg. - a real team! the flaws started to show. Lucky once but .... was actually hoping for Buffon to save a few penalties to end the dream, hype, euphoria etc. Italy's potential as an attacking team was demonstrated in their first game against Ghana. Sayonara Germans... hope, euphoria, heart can only bring you so far ... skills do matter. Finally, best of luck to Chelsea for wasting big bucks on 2 over rated dudes - a German and a Ukrainian ... nothing pleases an England and MU fan more than this :)) France vs Italia and Italy champ !!!!

THE BEST 2 MINUTES OF MY LIFE!! I knew the azzuris had it in them, it was just a matter of time for them to close the game and sent the germans home. Predictions: Italy vs France for the final. Would be nice to see zidane end his carrer by lifting the world cup, albeit would be a tough fight against the azzuris.

I'll have to say the Italians deserve the win. They were the better team, to my surprise. As for Ballack, I lost some respect for this fella after this world cup. He faked injury to try to get a fellow player sent off in the Argentina match. Then this morning elbowed the Italian defender and pretended to be injured so as not to get sent off.

Dr,SL,
I've been supporting argentina and italy since 1994. Since argentina was booted out, i've no choice but put all my eggs in the italian's basket...and IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!! But right now, i'm also supprting france for the zidane factor. i'll be torn if so the final is between the two.

Ahh the Azzuris came good.
Remy,
Argies lost due to their own folly. With 20 mins to go, they decided to take out Crespo and Riquelme. From then on, I had a feeling if Germany nicked one in, Argie would have lost the game.
But Italy restored parity back with a great game. They stuck their necks out to play attacking football with substitution that proved that they do not want to go to a shootout. Gilardino, Iaquinta, Del Piero. A stroke of genius from a Master - Marcelo Lippi.

Personally come world cup, I do not have specific team to support, though at club level I have been a MU fan since the 70s.. oops.. that shows how young I was.
I was never a big fan of Argentina or Italy in the past, but before the start of this world cup, I admire the talent in these 2 squads and I held my belief that they would go really far.
However, there is 1 team that I felt do not deserve to be there... ehhehehe.. FRANCE. But they rode their luck now they have some belief. I had always thought Spain would send them home at last. Sigh...

Germany might have lost, but the team has much potential. Don't be surprise to see them nick no. 3 spot and stage a good fight in Euro 2008. I am a Germany fan and saddened by this, but Italy played really well. As for the Italians, this could well be the last hoorah for 90% of the team. Hahaha. Make or break. I am all for the team that go against them in the final, though I would prefer to see Portugal lifting the Cup.

please don't forget andrea pirlo, he has been outstanding throughout the tournament, sometimes sissy movements but no doubt he's the most intelligent player in azzuri!

Yeah Yeah ... we all read the papers on Pekerman's subs and why not bring in Messi to run the ball blah blah. Let it be. As a diehard England fan, any team that whack the Germans is a friend of mine, hence GO Italia:)I noticed Italy's potential in the opening against Ghana 2-0. Also needed them to check Germany's progress for England. Anyway, past is past and Germany out of WC is the best news for an England fan - I am a sore looser :)Tonite,if France only play to 80% of their ability, Portugal will be out. The only issue I see: can they sustain the momentum. Judging frm this WC, a great performance is followed by a disaster and what if extra time. My money's on France. BTW, to Spanish supporters: another over rated team. Yes they thrashed Ukraine 4-0 but did anyone see them play Tunisia in the first 70 mins.? Please......

The Italian did the famous "Italian Job"... where the opponent has nothing and no time to react... :p
Worst thing, they lost to someone who they believe are screwing them up during the WWII...

remy.....that was only one over rated team...ENGLAND.....sad to say , they'll never win anything in the next 50 yrs.....did you see the quality of italy, germany, argentina and france?
England were light years behind these teams....and to think they actually thought they could win this year...LOL!!
as a fan who cried when Germany lost to Brazil in 2002, i'll admit that in the Ger-Ita game...the better team won. The Germans are young. They're the team to warch in the near future....
