From Guthrie to KeADILan
UPDATED VERSION. Former Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad CEO, Khalid Ibrahim, has been appointed the Treasurer of Parti KeADILan Rakyat with effect from today.
UPDATES from The Star:
Khalid confirmed that he had accepted the post.
“I am doing it for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” he said from Jakarta.
Khalid was formerly the chairman of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), a GLC, and an orchestrator behind several bumiputra investment institutions that brought forth Amanah Saham Nasional (ASN) and Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB).
Khalid had once been an Umno member, and had even contested posts in the party.
Comments
He got one plum deal when he MBO'd Guthrie from PNB. Then, screwed the company over, got thrown out, and now he's joined the pseudo-"opposition"?
Hmmm, one disenfranchised bloke, it you ask me.
