'Elegance Silence'... you idiot!
Yesterday, Works Minister S. Samy Vellu had to chide the Public Accounts Committee and its chairman Shahrir Abdul Samad for continuously questioning the scrapped half-bridge project and the KL-Putrajaya dedicated highway.

"Elegant Silence' is the flavour of the month, and the attention-shifting sideshows start.
Sorry, Shahrir still didn't get it. (Or is he taking part in the celebrity charade to drown Mahathir's vocals as well?)

Aiyo aiyo,samy(god samy),
He should have followed his boss's elegant silence as, silence is golden.Especially when, after being a Cabinet Minister for 22 years, he does not understand the role of Parliament and role of the Public Accounts Committee, legislated by Parliament.
The PAC's primary role is to investigate the Auditor Generals annual reports, paying special attention to proper and legitimate use of public funds although budjeted and study and investigae misuse and abuse of them, how and why they happen, who is responsible, why development projects are delayed or not carried out according to specified standards etc etc.
For this Senior minister to make statements to the effect that his officers' time is being wasted by the PAC is an outrage and defiance of the PAC and Parliament that enacted the relevant laws! If his officers have no time, then Samy himself must be called upbefore the PAC and made responsible, accountable and answerable for the blatant use, abuse and waste of public funds by his Ministry. If he had paid more more attention to what is going on in his portfolio for 22 years instead of trying to get rid of Subra from MIC, the poor people of this country need not have to pay more for petrol, power etc.The huge funds saved from waste, corruption, abandaned and delayed projects could have easily subsidised the increases.
Samy, Samy.

Samy should have followed ("preceded" even better!) his follow Cabinet dinosaurs Dr M and Ling, and stepped down.
Frankly, he has never shown any indication that he has learnt his lesson despite many pies-in-his-face.
Lunas "I will not return to KL". MRRII "no design fault". Bkt Lanjan "act of God".
Is he suffering from the a variation of same syndrome Musa diagnosed Dr M to be suffering from? Only the symptoms are grossly evident even before he has stepped down!
In my opinion, Malaysia and Malaysians are far, FAR better of without the likes of big-headed Samy.

What does Sharir or the PAC community know about finances compared to Samy? Samy knows a lot about finances and billion ringgit deals . He has more than two decades of experience as the Minister behind many of the mega projects in the country. Pity that he could not put to use his financial wizardry in MIC's investments and finances. Pity that the Indian community could not tap the financial genius in Samy for their betterment.

As a matter of fact, this man thinks he is above everybody else. Look at the MRR2 and the pillars, he should be ashamed that as the PWD minister he allowed this to happen. If there is decency, he should have tender his resignation and take responsibility for what has happened, instead of saying that it is safe, and if it is safe why is it that repair works are being done now, causing chaos to the traffic flow. And being cursed by all motorists using the highway everyday! Arrogance is the word, being a long serving minister does not give him to the right to lambast and be angry with PAC for asking some sensible questions, accountability idiot, that is asked for?
He should be in the forefront to see whether any corrupt practice has been practised, instead of getting angry... fellow..getting angry will cost you dearly.. your downfall because you are not able to think straight.. Ask the late Woodhull, he is not there to advise anymore to do the thing that he has done for you..guess what?
