So, have you seen the Dr Mahathir DVD?
Beginning today, Malaysiakini will publish an interview with the former Prime Minister, an interview that Malaysiakini has been waiting for the last six years!
Also today, Dr Mahathir will deliver a keynote address at the presentation of the Malaysian Business Corporate Governance Award 2005 in Kuala Lumpur.
The annual award is organised by Malaysian Business, sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), supported by Bursa Malaysia and vetted by KPMG.
I have been running a fortnightly column in Malaysian Business the since 2001, focussing on knowledge economy.
If Dr Mahathir believes in online media and blogs, we should certainly lend him the platform to speak up. You, then, are the ones to decide who the idiots in the country should be.

You are up very early...Jet lag?? Or is this normal hours for you?
The irony of it all...that is all that I can say. Considering that from its inception Malaysiakini must have been a bane to his premiership for exposing so many things he would have rather not be known by the public.
But then again, you have to wonder, that although he could have shut it down, he did not and now he gives this long ....probably very interesting interview with his once upon a time adversary. Did he know the score he would have to face when out of office so that he at least had a decent credible publication out there who would publish what he says or thinks?
Suddenly Mahathir seems a whole lot more sane and welcome!!!

Wasn't it during his time the Malaysiakini office was raided and computers seized?
So now he wants to speak?
After this interview will Mkini be raided again?
Just waiting to see what will happen.
