TV3 & ntv7?
Via Malaysiakini:
The minister (of Information Zainuddin Maidin) was also stunned by questions from two different reporters that TV3 and ntv7 had also aired the caricatures.“When!... This is news to me,” said Zainuddin, a former journalist himself.
Have TV3 and ntv7, which are all owned by Media Prima linked to Umno, made voluntary declaration to either deny or confirm the story? We need an answer before the next kaboom.

Altho it was insensitive of NST to reprint the cartoon and arrogant to feign innocence, I think the whole issue has been blown out of proportion. At the PAS demo today, it was made into a Muslim vs Christian issue and a Singapore vs Malaysia issue, all by virtue of the GE being a christian and a Singaporean. Truth be told, he had nothing to do with the whole fiasco. Kallimulah is still calling the shots in NST and wrote those editorials. The section head for life and times which printed the cartoon in the first place, is Joan Lau.
Pereira and Hishammudin are all innocent bystanders and should not be blamed. Jeff I think you have a responsibility to make this known since a lot of people out there don't know what is happenign within NST. Innocent parties should not be getting the heat from fanatics for the mistakes and arrogance of others.

matahari,
They made it out to be Muslim v Christian? Singaporean v Malaysian? My god, is the intelligence of Malaysians semakin turun as we speak? I thought this issue was CLOSED! C-L-O-S-E-D! Which part don't they understand?
It never fails to amaze me why our country still commands relatively high respect in other countries. If only they knew the truth...

A TV3 journalist I know told me that TV3 never aired the caricatures - only the text headlines as printed on Sarawak Tribune.

My God! S U D A H LAH! This is beyond ridiculous. Can we change the topic? Can we instead maybe talk about MAS’ rm 1 billion losses and speculate on the Feb 27 plan by the new CEO maybe?
Can we not go on flogging this horse that is already so dead it’s decomposed into a revolting pool of putrid flesh and flesh eating bacteria?

Don’t know why but when I read this line, I laugh aloud:
“Can we not go on flogging this horse that is already so dead it’s decomposed into a revolting pool of putrid flesh and flesh eating bacteria?”
Boy, laughter is good for the soul! I must learn to pen some funny lines.
Thanks

keep quiet? why must we? when they hit ST and GM without mercy, why dont you ask them keep quiet? or just because they true colour reveal that they are making fun with the weak? or because they are umno puppet, that why they can get away even though they are wrong. or karamsingw.just know to kill those weak in his tv3 show with his song?

yes there's no need to pursue this issue anymore. Even if you don't agree with fellow posters here for now.. but one will be asked to shut up / stop fanning old issue / and etc etc if doing outside of this blog. Public just got bored and media is getting cautious. Like the same old story APs..Proton..
However the fact that NST escaped from being punished is something that we should not forget. Once again, this has proven its special ties with UMNO, so strong that even the world figure Mahathir was unable to make any difference.

matahari:" it was made into a Muslim vs Christian issue and a Singapore vs Malaysia issue, all by virtue of the GE being a christian and a Singaporean."
For God's sake, Brenda Pereira is a Malaysian, educated and raised in Kuala Lumpur. He just worked in Singpore ST for a few years as Malaysian correspodent.
Somebody is really a ignorant.
