Yes!.You're right. It is confirmed in Utusan Malaysia.See the below
http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/content.asp?y=2006&dt=0214&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Muka_Hadapan&pg=mh_03.htm
KUALA LUMPUR 13 Feb.

Honestly, politics aside, I think D. Abd Kadir was the most notable figure when he was in the Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister last time with D. Ng Yen Yen. They make such a deep impact on the tourism industry that I still remembered them, promoting malaysia tirelessly, till now. unfortunately, he was transfered to information ministry where his deputy Zam was uncontrollable.
Also, all his brand-building and promotion of Malaysia as tourism destination went to drain under the current groupies of ministers famous for the 'Chinese women profiling', arrogantly asking tourists to go back to their country and various other scandals (i'm sure you know who are them).
PM AB should look beyond politics and appoint ministers who benefit the country. don't worry about your position as you're at the top of the food chain now and you're responsible only to your countrymen for giving you a huge mandate. Also, before you build bridges with the west, do consider building bridges with chinese, indian and various other races in this country first. pls ask your ministers to stop their racial overtones to further their own agenda. this is my country too.

it is not the numbers fo ministers in the cabinet...it is the QUALITY of cabinet ministers that is important. At this moment, very few comes to mind. Time for AAB to sort out the balls carriers and the work-doers

Just a note from a fellow Kedahan Jeff, with DS Kadir leaving, Kedah will be left with no Minister in the cabinet representing it. This was a far cry from Dr M's time when at its peak, Kedah had 4 ministers (incl Dr M) and numerous deputies. Who will take Kadir's place representing Kedah as this is important seeing as Kedah is always seen as a marginal election state due to the low majorities during Elections.? Zam?! Hmmm...

Wah clever la him. Better to get out, with his own terms, after getting tons of contracts then letting his superior kill him.
